Hosted by BBC Music and supported by the breadth of the UK music industry, BBC Music Introducing Live offers a weekend of invaluable support for emerging home-grown talent as they take the next steps in their career.

If you’re an artist, a producer, in a band, a music fan or want to find out more about the music industry then BBC Music Introducing Live is the event for you.

It will bring together the UK’s music industry for hundreds of inspiring masterclasses, interactive sessions, workshops and some very special live performances, including an intimate gig with Ben Howard and Marika Hackman.

Tom Grennan, The Amazons and Glastonbury’s head-honcho Emily Eavis, Kano, Example, Declan McKenna, You Me at Six, Jamie Cullum and deadmau5 are just a handful of confirmed speakers who will be there over the three days.

Torna a Medimex 2018, dopo il successo dell’edizione dello scorso anno, l’atteso appuntamento dedicato all’Independent Label Market e ai collezionisti di vinili!

MEDIMEX MUSIC MARKET è un evento unico che associa il mondo delle etichette indipendenti a quello dei collezionisti accuratamente selezionati per una fiera con espositori provenienti da tutta Italia ed Europa, unito ad un programma di djset, live e conferenze con ospiti internazionali, con un occhio di riguardo verso le etichette più interessanti del panorama locale.

L’Independent Label Market è il marchio londinese che ha messo insieme oltre 300 delle etichette indipendenti più importanti di tutto il mondo che vendono direttamente al pubblico le loro produzioni fresche di stampa. Si passerà da ospiti internazionali come ROUGH TRADE (dagli Smiths ai Parquet Courts), MEXICAN SUMMER (Best Coast, Kurt Vile, Ariel Pink), BELLA UNION (Beach House, Flaming Lips, etc) e WAH WAH 45, a quelli nazionali come LUCA SAPIO (Rai Radio 2) e la sua BLIND FAITH.
Saranno presenti anche le etichette pugliesi più interessanti del momento, come la e BACKWARDS che vedrà il musicista FABIO ORSI rappresentarla in un dj set speciale.

In questo contesto ritorna la Fiera del Disco, una delle più grandi sul territorio nazionale che prevede la partecipazione di espositori provenienti da tutta Italia. Nata a Taranto, la fiera del disco oggi si svolge in varie località pugliesi e non. Fra gli espositori alcuni fra i maggiori collezionisti di vinile in Italia.

Non mancheranno, ovviamente, i djset con djs nazionali e internazionali rappresentanti delle etichette ospitate, che proporranno set di musica altamente selezionata dal funky al reggae, dall’indie all’elettronica, dal soul al punk, scelti accuratamente dalla direzione artistica di PopUp The Sunday, per dei brunch e aperitivi musicali davvero speciali.

Ma Medimex Music Market ospiterà anche altri stand dedicati al mondo della musica e dell’editoria, piccoli strumenti musicali (come Rough Beat e la sua “boutique” di synth) , accessori a tema, e fashion design music oriented, per ricreare nei nostri armadi i look delle nostre rockstar preferite.

Ci sarà, infine, un’area dedicata ai più piccoli: Kids Rock! un percorso per bambini a cura dell’associazione leccese Fermenti Lattici e Cooperativa Coolclub. Una divertente occasione che vedrà i bambini coinvolti in laboratori e momenti di gioco tra immagini e suoni. Scoprirano, divertendosi, musicisti, cantanti e band che hanno fatto la storia della musica rock di tutti i tempi: da Elvis ai Beatles, da Janis Joplin a David Bowie, e poi ancora, Patty Smith, The Queen, Rolling Stones, Blondie, Nirvana e molti altri.

Nell’area del market sarà presente una curatissima area food&beverage, con scelta anche vegetariana e vegana, a cura di SUD (Taranto). As part of  Soho Music Month festival this June, Independent Label Market returns to the iconic Berwick Street Market in Soho to celebrate independent businesses and women in music with an all-female line-up!

Female founders of independent record labels will take over Berwick Street Market on Saturday 16 June, with a selection of vinyl stalls selling the best of their rosters.

The soundtrack will be provided by the local independent radio station Soho Radio who will pitch up for an exclusive live broadcast from the market with an all-female line up: Xanthe Fuller, Sophie Callis and Cherrie Flava.

Independent Label Market will come back in Berlin for a very special market during the Torstraßen music Festival, to bring you a day’s worth of digging within the hallowed halls of the iconic and historic Volksbühne Theater!

As usual, the market will be free, open to the public, and some DJs will play their best tracks before the festival’s final and biggest concert.
