BARCELONA
6th April, 2019
The weekend represents a unique opportunity to appreciate the year’s finest produce from independent music labels from the city and further afield. The Barcelona edition of the Independent Label Market celebrates its fourth edition on 6 and 7 of April, featuring a wide selection of local, national and international labels, a variety of label showcases at some of the city’s finest venues and a programme of exclusive presentations from label managers at el FNAC Triangle.
Early confirmations at the market include the first appearances of Lisbon’s afro-infused electronica pioneers Principe Discos, the avant-garde sounds of Erased Tapes, the new faces of urban cuts from True Panther and psych reissue specialists Guerrsen.
Returning outfits to the market include the mighty Ninja Tune, Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood, new Jazz peddlers On The Corner, indie royalty Domino and City Slang and Barcelona’s legendary store and label, Wah Wah Records.
The event will be appropriately soundtracked by DJs, selectors and artists representing the labels with the support of Radio Primavera Sound.
The Independent Label Market Barcelona once again takes place in the converted warehouse space of CREC in the Poble Sec neighbourhood.
